So I went to the show at Yoshi's Oakland. It was incredible. Melissa Morgan is an awesome singer. She had a trio of musicians, stand up bass, piano, and drums. They accompanied her perfectly as she sang songs from her album Until I Met You. At times there were moments my breath was taken away. And we had a conversation in the middle of the show about Mackinac Island, it was totally random and unexpected, but since that used to be old stomping grounds it seem appropriate. I got her cd, an autograph, and some pics. Overall, it was a good night.
